关于举办第十六届“外研社﹒亚马逊杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛

湖北大学选拔赛的通知

为进一步加强高校校园文化建设,引导和帮助广大青年学生强化学习意识、培养国际眼光,提高独立思考、语言表达、组织协调等方面能力,团中央学校部、全国学联秘书处、北京外国语大学将于近期联合组织开展第十六届“外研社﹒亚马逊杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛。湖北大学选拔赛的具体事宜通知如下。

一、组织机构

主办单位:共青团湖北大学委员会

承办单位:湖北大学英语外国语学院

二、参赛对象

湖北大学中国籍本科在校生,专业、年级不限(注:在往届“外研社杯”全国大学生英语辩论赛及“CCTV杯”全国英语演讲比赛中获得出国奖项的选手,不能再次参赛)。

四、报名方式

报名的同学按两人一组的方式,下载附件中的报名表,将报名表填写完成后发送至报名邮箱:hubu_charlene@126.com.

报名邮件主题格式为“辩手1学院、姓名+辩手2学院、姓名”。

如:工商管理学院张三+外国语学院李四

本次比赛采用团队报名方式,每支队伍需由两名辩手组成。

五、报名及比赛时间

报名时间为即日起至4月19日12点

比赛时间为4月22(周日)

六、比赛赛制

初赛:

初赛采用英国议会制辩论的方式进行,采用的是积分循环赛制。选出8支队伍参加复赛。

复赛:

复赛采用英国议会制辩论的方式进行,采用的是积分循环赛制。选出4支队伍参加决赛。

决赛:

决赛采用英国议会制辩论方式,根据各队的得分最终决出冠亚季军,冠军队伍将代表湖北大学参加华中地区总决赛。

*选拔赛基于同队两名辩手的综合得分进行考量,即可能出现一人得分很高但另一人表现不佳,而两人同时被淘汰的情况。

七、奖项设置

湖北大学选拔赛设冠军队一支,亚军队一支,季军队二支,最佳辩手奖一名,

最佳语音奖一名,最佳台风奖一名,最佳表现力奖一名。

以上奖项均将提供由团中央、全国学联、北京外国语大学联合提供的证书及奖品,并可进入辩论赛人才库,还将有机会获得国内外知名企业的实习和面试机会。

本次比赛是由团中央、全国学联、北京外国语大学联合主办,外研社、中国教育电视台共同承办的全国性赛事。全国决赛获奖者由组委会全额资助,选择参加世界大学生英文辩论赛、澳亚大学生英文辩论赛、全亚大学生英文辩论赛以及赴韩国等地的国际文化交流活动。

正方回答:Priority means , when two choices can’t be chosen at the same time , we have choose one out .

反方提问:My fellow debaters ,please allow me to ask.The economy is the temporary matter, but the environment is of the ten thousand generation, which one is more important? When Economic develops slowly, people can also eat rice; how can we still survive if there is no environment.

正方回答: Economy development first does not mean totally ignore the environmental protection, the environmental protection is just in the inferior position .Just like the present China, although the policy attach great importance to environmental protection, economic development receive priority in the general counties, there is only capital cities would likely take it seriously to environmental protection, everybody know it in our own heart.

反方提问:Excuse me, If economic development receives priority then it is likely to cause the environmental costs to be larger than the economic efficiency, such economy develops or backs up?

正方回答:This kind of situation is there truly, but not every moment.The situation in each industry is different; we cannot draw conclusions from one part.But according to your point, in this case the economic benefit is negative, then if we changed environment first, we can turn it into profit? I don\'t think so.

正方提问:China has 16亿 the people in the world ,but the average income is so low that ranks 109 in the world.And We know that the protection of the environment is mainly prevention, and we should combine prevention with treatment, and the prevention and control depends on the development of technology, then my fellow debaters, if there is no strong economic basis for science and technology development, then don’t mention the environmental protection supported by the science and technology.

反方回答:Your question is a little abstract.Science and technology develops endlely, so dose economic development, when will it be considered as “strong\"? But environmental protection is imminent, which can\'t afford to delay.Environmental protection needs economy .But we can’t sacrifice the environment for the economic

growth.If you drink polluted water, eat the toxic food, can we have a high quality of life? Economic development must be on the premise of environmental protection.The policy of “returning farmland to forests and gra” slow down the speed of economic development to protect the environment.Doses it show that the environmental protection is more important?

反方一辩:我方认为应该取消大学英语四级考试。大学英语四级考试仅仅只能体现出考生的英语考试水平和答题能力,它并不能代表考生整体的英语水平和平时的英语交际能力。在当代社会,英语固然重要,但是强制性的考试来充斥整个大学英语学习,花费学生大量精力和时间来通过这个考试,是完全没有意义的。

正方二辩:就工作本身的要求来看,企业中有些岗位要求你能够熟练掌握英语,有些岗位几乎不会涉及到英语的应用,但你进入企业以后,从事的岗位调换是最常见的,所以为了应对岗位的不断变化,英语是必不可少的,确实英语四级考试只是一种方式,企业如何知道你的英语水平,大学英语四级考试就成为了一个衡量的标尺,至少目前为止,没有比大学英语四级更好的方式。

6月1日晚,由外国语学院科协主办的英语辩论赛在金银湖]校区基础203隆重拉开帷幕。担任此次比赛的评委是来自外国语学院教研室的桑玉萍,刘建稳和申文静三位教师,并特别邀请了李玲玲,方亚中两位老师担任嘉宾。

本次比赛分为三场,由三组同学分别围绕三个辩题展开辩论。每场比赛分为四个环节:开篇陈词,公辩,自由辩论以及总结陈词。由来自11级的选手开始第一场的辩论。他们虽为大一新生,却不乏睿智,镇定自若,并严格遵守比赛规则,为本次比赛开了个好头。第二场10级的选手们既幽默风趣又不失风度,使我们的比赛氛围变得更加活跃起来。尤其是反方四辩刘雨辰学姐敏捷的思维以及沉着稳定的辩论风格给大家留下了深刻的印象。最后一场同样是来自11级的新生把整场比赛推向了又一个高潮。正方三辩马作智同学思维严谨,反应迅速,反方团队协作一致,分工合理,肖睿麒和黄忠强两位同学情绪激昂,气场强大,他们的表现赢得了观众热烈的掌声。同时,本次比赛也接近尾声。

最后,由申文静,桑玉萍两位老师公布比赛结果,刘建稳老师担任颁奖嘉宾。来自10级的刘雨辰和11级的周欢,马作智三位同学获得最佳辩手奖,而最佳团队奖则被由黄忠强,席文萍,肖睿麒,史俊芳组成的小组拿走。申,桑两位老师并对本次辩论赛做出了精彩点评。

本次辩论赛不仅为我院学生提供了展现自己的舞台,更提高了大家的辩论技巧以及团队合作能力,充分展现了我院学生对英语的热情和积极向上的精神风貌,为丰富我院学生校园文化生活添上了浓墨重彩的一笔!

唇枪舌战展风采,争锋相对辩天下 ——寝室文化节系列活动之英语辩论赛

11月9日晚,寝室文化节系列活动开幕式暨英语辩论赛在第五教学楼50

4、505教室隆重举行,参加本次比赛的21个寝室的成员将与对手展开一场唇枪舌战。来自研一以及研二的评委也秉着公平公正的态度为各队参赛选手打分。

比赛开始之前,主持人向大家介绍了辩论赛的整个流程:首先由正方一辩陈词立论,时间为一分半钟,然后反方二辩对正方一辩盘问,时间为一分钟,正方只回答不提问。然后轮到反方。接着进入自由辩论阶段,时间总共为三分钟,由反方任何一位辩手开始,双方轮流发言,直至时间用完。最后双方各有一分钟时间总结自己观点,反驳对方观点。

比赛的第一场战火很快被点燃。继正方慷慨激昂的陈词立论后,反方立即提出了犀利的问题请正方辩解。在随后的环节中,双方更是争锋相对、步步紧逼,现场气氛迅速升温,达到了白热化阶段。比赛继续进行,进入自由辩论环节。反方辩手们精辟巧妙的措辞,展现出咄咄逼人的气势。正方辩手也毫不示弱,他们通过多重角度论证了己方的观点。在最后总结陈词的环节,正反双方辩手清晰的思路和纯正流利的英语给观众留下了深刻的印象。

之后各组辩论的激烈程度绝不亚于第一组,双方胜负难辨,精彩绝伦。每支队伍的表现都相当出色,展示了当代研究生看问题的角度、思考问题的方式以及随机应变的能力。最后,橘园十舍212的同学以26.5的好成绩取得胜利。

辩论赛结束后,在座的评委对每一个队伍的优缺点做了点评,使在场的参赛选手和观众都受益匪浅。

英语辩论赛,青春不留白2012年12月8日,由外国语学院主办、英语俱乐部承办的第十四届英语辩论赛如火如荼的举行,比赛中各组选手相互驳斥,充斥着浓浓的火药味。

首先是各组选手根据前期的抽签决定了自己的PK组,并且经过前期的初赛,留下了最后十组巅峰对决,各PK组形成正反方两个背立面,双方针对自己的辩题对其进行辩解,相互驳斥。

19:00比赛正式开始,正反双方都由一二三四辩组成,8个人的对决相当精彩,首先是双方的陈词阶段,正反双方的一辩各自陈述我方的观点,然后是一对一的攻辩阶段,再次是双方的自由辩论阶段,最后是双方的四辩陈词总结阶段。

评委老师由我校的Nema、Preetam、Mat三位外教,以及庄小萍、王丽春两位老师组成,各评委根据选手在辩论中的辩论技巧、内容、风度和幽默感、整体合作来为其打分,最后以平均分的高低评判最终的比赛结果。

最后,各位评委老师对选手的表现进行点评,并提出一些建议和意见,帮助选手的成长,鼓励选手,并给在比赛中取得胜利的选手颁奖、合照。

此次第十四届英语辩论赛圆满结束,在这次辩论赛中,各位选手成长了很多,因为人总是在成功和失败中慢慢成长的。 英语辩论赛,青春不留白,有奋斗就有未来!

1、时间提示:当记时员提醒时间到时,发言辩手必须终止发言,否则作违规处理。

3、开篇立论:开篇立论无须在理论的层面上过多纠缠,立论要求逻辑清晰,言简意赅。

4、攻辩:(1) 攻辩由正方二辩开始,正反方交替进行。

二、三辩中任意指定。攻辩双方必须单独完成本轮攻辩,不得中途更替。

5、自由辩论:这一阶段,正反方辩手自动轮流发言。发言辩手落座为发言结束即为另一方发言开始的记时标志,另一方辩手必须紧接着发言;若有间隙,累积时照常进行。同一方辩手的发言次序不限。如果一方时间已经用完,另一方可以继续发言,也可向主席示意放弃发言。自由辩论提倡积极交锋,对重要问题回避交锋两次以上的一方扣分,对于对方已经明确回答的问题仍然纠缠不放的,适当扣分。

6、观众提问:观众提问阶段正反方的表现算入比赛成绩。观众提出的问题先经2位以上评委判定有效后,被提问方才能回答。正反方各回答两个观众提出的问题,双方除四辩外任意辩手作答。一个问题的回答时间为1分钟,如一位辩手的回答用时未满,其他辩手可以补充。

1、各参赛队领队、队员仔细阅读本次辩论赛方案,熟悉有关赛程安排。

2、各参赛队于每场比赛开始前20分钟到达比赛现场,以利于组委会对赛事的统筹安排及各场比赛准备工作的顺利进行。

3、各参赛队应遵守赛事各项时间安排,如遇特别情况,请各参赛队伍提前3天与大赛组委会联系,以便协调,保证赛事的顺利进行。

2、在前1-4环节中,对方可以根据发言者正在申诉的论点提出本方的观点(point of information,简称为POI)提问者提出POI的注意事项: 1)POI要简短,切题,机智。严禁针对比赛规则和个人提出问题;

2)提出POI时要从座位上起立,并举手示意.提问者可以用类似on that point,Sir/Madam的话引起发言者的注意;

3)发言者可以采取以下方式回应对方提出的POI:语言拒绝(类似sorry)、接受提问(类似ok);

4)如果提出POI的要求被发言者接受,那么POI的陈述要以澄清事实或提出评论为形式,用一两句话在15秒内表达出来;如果被发言者拒绝,那么提问者坐回原位,准备下一次提问;

5)POI只能在前四个环节中提出,最后两个环节不能提出,前四个环节内第一分钟和最后一分钟内不可以提出POI;

6)发言者如果接受POI,那么就应针对提问并围绕自己的发言回答问题; 7)除非要提出POI,否则没有轮到发言的辩手不得在别人发言时起立。如果辩手违反规则提问或有扰乱正常比赛的行为,那么此选手将被主持人宣布犯规; 8)评价POI的提出是否得当,应该看它对正反两方接下来的辩论的影响如何; 9)发言者在发言时须至少接受2次POI,提问者至少要站起4次示意提POI。辩手若没有抓住机会提POI或者在发言中没有接受POI,评委可酌情扣分;

3、观众提问:观众可向正反方各提一个问题,由双方选派一名选手作答。该环节在正式比赛结束后进行,增加比赛观赏性,不影响比赛结果。

4、评判团评议裁决:由一名评委进行点评,向辩论赛主席递交比赛结果。附评分标准

二、策划主办单位:外国语学院学生会、外国语学院辩论协会、英语协会

三、参赛对象:面向全校

四、组队方式

1.外院大一学生每班出2队报名,他院英语爱好者可自由组队报名

2.参赛辩手为2人一队,均需为该队所属学院在籍大

一、二学生;

3.意愿参加本次比赛的选手请于16号之前将辩手名单填好

五、比赛赛程

1.比赛分初赛、决赛两个阶段进行。初赛以抽签形式决定对阵情况,初赛中所得分数为前四名的四支队伍将进行下一轮抽签,并参加决赛。

2.评委由主办方聘请,初赛主要为学生评委,决赛由老师评委及学生评委共同评审。

3.如参赛队数为偶数支,将直接抽签决定对阵;如参赛队为奇数支,抽签后余下的单支队伍将与主办方派出的队伍进行对阵(主办方派出的队伍不计成绩)。

八、辩论程序

(一)主席致辞:介绍选手包括学院、专业、年级及正反方所持观点等;介绍评委及比赛规则:

1、正方队伍就是要提出讨论的具体议题,并由一辩展开8分钟的框架式论述,

2、反方一辩则要就正方一辩所提出的议题进行驳斥,并提出本方观点的框架式论述,时间8分钟。

3、正方二辩则负责在反方一辩陈词结束后对反方观点进行批驳,并为本方一辩的框架式论述提供4分钟详实的实证性论证。

4、反方二辩则也要像正方二辩那样负责批驳对方观点并进一步具体论证本方一辩的框架式论述,时间4分钟。

5、双方对辩8分钟

6、对辩结束后,由反方开始5分钟的批驳性总结陈词,而正方则在其发言结束后进行5分钟的总结陈述。

7、观众提问:观众可向正反方各提一个问题,由双方选派一名选手作答。该环节在正式比赛结束后进行,增加比赛观赏性,不影响比赛结果。

8、评判团评议裁决:由一名评委进行点评,向辩论赛主席递交比赛结果。注意:

(一)、计时规则

1、每场比赛设两位计时员,分别为正反两方计时。并举牌示意,请主席和各辩手注意。

2、以辩手起身发言为开始,坐下为暂停,直至时间用完。

1、各辩手不得情绪过激,不能拍桌子或粗口等;

2、各辩手提问时不得问与辩题无关的问题;

3、各辩手在发言时要起身,在别人发言时不得中途干扰,也不能在下面直接辩驳;

4、辩手在作总结陈词时请按赛制要求对相关内容总结;

6、观众不得喧哗,提问环节不得问与大赛无关问题。

(二)、评分标准

1、团体部分:团队评分

(1)审题准确把握辩题内涵和外延,对所持立场能多层次、多角度理解,论点鲜明,对本方难点能有效处理和化解。10分

(2)展开对辩题的理解和论述能在广度上展开,在深度上推进,整个辩论过程条理清晰,能给人以层层递推的美感。10分

(3)辩驳提问抓住对方要害,问题简单明了;回答直面问题,有理有据。注重针对辩题正面交锋。 10分

(4)配合具有团体精神,队员间相互支持配合,论辩衔接流畅、方向统一,攻守兼备,自由辩论时发言错落有致,体现“流动的整体意识”。10分

(6)辩风比赛中尊重对手,尊重主席、评委和观众。举止得体,显示出良好的道德修养。敢于创新,勇于表现,具有本队特有的风格,并贯穿全局。10分

一、英语辩论赛流程

1、主持人致辞:

宣布辩题及辩题相关背景资料;介绍选手及正反方所持观点等;介绍评委等。

2、比赛阶段:

比赛由正方和反方组成,双方各2名选手,选手可自行分工,分别担任一辩、二辩。

辩论具体进行过程如下:

(一)阐明立场阶段(2分钟):

由双方一辩进行观点说明。也就是辩论双方针对辩论赛主题进行观点阐述。

1)正方一辩发言(1分钟)

第1分钟结束时--举牌提示,最后15秒--举牌提示。

2)反方一辩发言(1分钟)

(二)攻辩阶段(2分钟):

1)正方二辩选择反方二辩(1分钟)

提问时间为10秒,回答时间为50秒。

为充分调动和激发我校学生学习外语的积极性,提高口语表达能力和英语应用能力,从而有效推动课堂教学,促进学风建设和校园文化建设,外国语学院特此举办‚第十六届‘外研社•亚马逊杯’全国大学生英语辩论赛‛安阳师范学院选拔赛。 现将具体情况通知如下:

一、组织机构:

主办单位:安阳师范学院校团委

承办单位:外国语学院

二、大赛主题:展辩论风采,树青春风范

三、大赛宗旨:

凝聚优质的英语文化资源,打造全新的英语服务平台,选拔‚第十六届‘外研社•亚马逊杯’全国大学生英语辩论赛‛安阳师范学院参赛选手。

四、参赛对象:安阳师范学院全体在校本科学生。

五、赛事安排:

1、本次大赛分为初赛、复赛、半决赛、决赛、总决赛五个阶段。通过层层选拔,使同学们在不同层次的舞台上尽显自己的英语水平。

2、2012年3月19日至22日为初赛阶段,由各学院自行安排比赛,比赛形式不限(选拔标准:①发音纯正,语音语调标准,吐字清晰,自然流畅②有较强的语言组织能力③有较强的临场应变能力)

而后各院系推荐选手进复赛(1000人以上推荐4人,1000人以下推荐2人),并将推荐名单于3月23日下午2点前报至外国语学院(纸质稿加盖本院系公章交至外院办公室和容A楼即文科4号楼208房间,电子稿发至学习部邮箱aswyxxb@163.com)。

3、具体赛程安排如下:

(1)初赛

由各院系在3月23号之前在自己院系内自行安排时间地点进行选拔。

(2)复赛(分两个赛区)

时间:3月30日下午(具体事宜另行通知)

地点:理阶101和理阶10

2复赛流程:

A.自我介绍和命题演讲(3分钟以内)

题目为:Should college students be in love with someone?

B.即兴问答:由提问评委就选手即兴演讲内容提出1到2个问题,选手回答时间不得超过2分钟

注:入选选手由裁判决定半决赛的小组名单(两名辩手为一组)

(3)半决赛(分两个赛区)

时间:4月6日下午(具体事宜另行通知)

地点:理阶101和理阶102

半决赛流程:

每场辩论赛由2支队伍参加:正方一队,反方一队,每队两名辩手,每位辩手按一定顺序陈词,各队累积时间不超过8分钟。在所有陈词中,除第1分钟及最后1分钟外,其他辩手均可举牌提出质询,正在发言的辩手可以接受或拒绝该质询,但每个辩手必须至少接受1次质询。一旦质询被接受,质询者有30秒的时间陈述自己的意见。质询时间将被计算在陈词时间内。反方如果没有抓住机会提出质询或者发言者没有接受质询,评委可酌情扣分。最后由评委对双方观点及辩论过程进行点评。

(4)决赛

时间:4月13日下午(具体事宜另行通知)

地点:理阶10

(5)总决赛

时间:4月20日下午(具体事宜另行通知)

地点:学术报告厅

4、辩题设臵:

初赛辩题由各院系自己设定,复赛辩题由外国语学院于3月23日下午5点告知各院系,半决赛和决赛及总决赛的辩题均在上一轮比赛结束后宣布。

注:评分标准

1、辩论赛过程中只能使用英语,并严格遵守时间限制。

2、论点明晰,论据充足,引证恰当,分析透彻。

3、迅速抓住对方观点及失误,驳论精到,切中要害。

4、反映敏捷,应对能力强。

5、表达清晰、层次清楚,逻辑严密。

六、奖项设臵

冠军队1支、亚军队1支、季军队2支;最佳辩手1名、最佳语音奖1名、最佳台风奖1名、最具表现力奖1名(获奖团队及个人将获得组委会提供的证书和奖品)。

七、活动要求

1、希望各院系按通知要求统一思想,高度重视,充分认识本次大赛对大学生学习英语的重要性,采取有效措施做好宣传和辅助工作,努力提高大赛质量和水平。

2、各院系要大力宣传、广泛发动,通过多种渠道做好宣传发动工作,最大限度调动和激发本院学生参与比赛的积极性和主动性,争取在学生中形成广泛影响,营造‚全员参与、良性互动‛

的浓郁氛围。

3、请各院系积极配合、认真组织,确保大赛顺利进行。
