一般说来，给一篇文章加题目，我们可以从这几个方面去考虑：

1、根据主要内容概括出题目

这是最常用的概括方法。记事的文章提炼出中心事件做题目，比如，《草船借箭》《狱中联欢》；写人写景的文章以主要人物、景物或他们的特点来命题，如《卖火柴的小女孩》《詹天佑》《桂林山水》《索溪峪的“野”》等。

2、根据文章中心提炼出题目

作者写一篇文章总有他的目的，根据中心去命题能使人一下子抓住文章的灵魂。像《伟大的友谊》《丰碑》《做人要有尊严》就是以中心来定题目的典型例子。

3、利用相关的物或景做题目

作者在叙事的过程中常常围绕某个物或景展开，这些物或景就是贯穿全文的一条线索。比如，肖复兴写的《荔枝》一文，母亲和我之间的四件事都是围绕荔枝展开的，作者借荔枝表达了母亲对儿孙深深的爱。另外，《半截蜡烛》《樱花情》也是很有代表性的例子。这种命题方法多见于抒情性比较强的文章。

4、有代表性的时间、地点也可做题目

它们或者像引子一样引出主要人物和事件，或者为人物的活动提供了一定的空间。我们可以从学过的课文《十六年前的回忆》《景阳冈》中得到借鉴。

这只是给短文加题目的一般的思考方法，具体做题时，要在通读全文的基础上，根据文章的不同类型综合去考虑，因文而异。题目可以源自文章，也可以自己概括，倡导有创意的带有个性化的表达。
