Friendship Friends play an important part in our lives,and although we may take friendship for granted,we often don’t clearly understand how we make friends.While we get on well with a number of people,we are usually friends with only a very few----for example,the average among students is about 6 per person.In all the cases of friendly relationships,two people like one another and enjoy being together.But beyond thatthe degree of intimacy between them and the reasons for the shared interests vary enormously.As we get to know people we take into account things like

age,race ,economic conditions,social position,and intelligence.Although these factors are not of prime importance,it is more difficult to get on with people when there is a marked difference in age and background.

Some friendly relationships can be kept on argument and discuion,but it is usual for close friends to have similar ideas and beliefs,to have attitudes and interests in commen ---they often talk about \"being on the same wavelength \".it generally takes time to reach this point.And the more intimately involved people become,the more they rely on one another .people want to do friends favours and hate to break a promise, equally, friends have to learn to put up with annoying habits and try to tolerate differencesof opinion.contrast with marriage ,there are no friendship ceremonies to strengthen the aociation between two persons, but the supporting and understanding of each other that results from shared experiences and emotions does seem toa powerful bond ,which can overcome differences in background ,and break down barriers of age, cla or race.

I love English

My honorable teachers , my beloved schoolmates.Good morning everyone，

may I have your attention，please? I am glad to be able to give a lecture on this claroom.This once , I want to talk about English.My topic of conversation is that I love English.

As everyone knows,English is very important today.It has been used everywhere in the world.It has become the most common language on Internet and for international trade.If we can speak English well,we will have more chance to succeed.Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number of the people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.

But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and its

usefulne,but also because of my love for it.When I learn English, I can feel a different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world.When I read English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is different from reading the

translation.When I speak English, I can feel the confident from my words.When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the same as our Chinese...

I love English,it gives me a colorful dream.I hope I can travel around the world one day.With my good English, I can make friends with many people from different contries.I can see many places of great intrests.I dream that I can go to London,because it is the birth place of English.

I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to the English spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us.
