Summary：
The movie told us a story about a young banker Andy Dufresne,who was accused of murdering his wife and his wife’s lover .Andy was sentenced to life imprisonment, which means he will spend the rest of his life in prison.However,despite of the truth that he didn’t make a crime at all,but he still accept the reality and never stop pursing hope and freedom.

\"The Shawshank Redemption\" is undoubtedly a good film, no action, no special effects, and even no beauty.However, it can still impre and shock the audience up to now and its charm never fade after more than 10 years.So, what it is that appeals us all? Some people keep the views that this movie reflected the tenacity of human beings.Indeed, he has made it to dig out a small tunnel just with a small hammer, in a strict fascist prison famous for its restrictions on personal freedom, within nearly 20 years.No one would deny that without the tenacity of human, he won\'t stick it to survive there.Furthermore, his toughne touched me and made me more cherish my free life now.It is so impreive that he has made every effort to get freedom, which we all have for granted.But as I read this movie second time, I realize \"the hope\" is what the writer wants to convey through the movie.Yes, there are lots of evidences that the film went straight to the \"hope\".For example, after Andy escaped, he wrote to Redding and it said \"Remember, Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things and no good thing ever dies.\" Perhaps this is just what the movie and director wanted to tell us.\"Fear can hold you prisoner, Hope can set you free.\" This sentence has also become famous.Hope is given by ourselves rather than any one else.Neverthele, we are always accustomed to forget its existence, then it will disappear gradually unconsciously.No one can live smoothly all the time, we are just confronting with a simple question:get busy living or get busy dying.Under no circumstances should we give up the hope if we want to survive the difficulties.No matter what we are facing, no matter what setback have we gotten, and no matter where we are, hope can set us free, sets our souls free.Never give up, finally our tenacity would pay off!
