My Thoughts on Internship Report of WenJiabao’s News Conference
Last Thursday, the teachers checked our practical aignment.I have prepared this aignment for more than one month, I learned a lot from the WenJiabao’s news conference.
First, I learned a large amount of political words and expreions from the report, such as “territory, cede, crackdown, income disparity, several historic matters” and so on.Both my lexical resources and presentation skill were improved.
Secondly, as a student of English major, in our daily life, I have to improve our ability of listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating.And translation includes written translation and interpretation.It is a good chance for me to use the simulation of WenJiabao’s news conference to improve my interpretation skills.During the course of simulation, my ability of reaction, shorthand, and memory were improved at the same time.
Thirdly, the news conference has lasted for three hours.The foreign and home prees asked a lot of questions from different aspects.And our premier WenJiabao answered their questions seriously.I learned a lot of policies and regulations of our country.Moreover, I knew our country’sposition and start for many international matters.
Fourthly, the premier WenJiabao have served to our country and people for 9 years.He is a great premier.He dedicated himself to the development of reform and opening up cause and never made private interests.Although there are still a lot of problems that can’t be solved in our society, we should give more forgivene and understanding to the premier.
Fifth, I have to admit that I am a man of shyne.In my daily life, I often don’t dare to speak when I stand in the front of a lot of people.I always feel extremely nervous.However, the requirements of interpretation cover many qualities, and confidence is a very important quality for a good translator.Therefore, this simulation gives me a good practical chance to improve my confidence.
Sixth, my translation skill is also improved, during the proce of preparing the news conference, first of all, I listened the Chinese version of the WenJiabao’s government work report.Then, I tried to translate Chinese into English that I can use my own words and expreions to describe them.I realized that translation is a complicated and boring thing, if I want to translate an article well, I must pay enough patience and effort.Mastering a certain amount of English vocabulary is the fundament of to be a good translator, so I have to accumulate a large amount vocabulary in my daily life.The improvement of translation ability is not a thing that can be finished in one or two day.I must insist to practice translating one text every day only in this way, I will be able to a good translator.
We all know that china is a big country with more than 1.3 billion population.The reform of political and economic structural will meet more difficulties.To conduct such reform in our big country, we must start from our national circumstances and implement them step by step.I believe any member of citizen with a sense of responsibility should fully recognize that this is an urgent task for our country.With the development of economic globalization, if china wants to keep the position that can’t be defeated.We must improve our integrated skills of our country.Therefore, all Chinese must work together to make our country strong!
