There was a boy called Danny.He took an interest in reading especially the books of detective series.He thought he could be a person who acted the leading role in the school play but he was short of

confidence.Wick, who was one year older than him, often picked on him.However no one had the guts to stand up to him.He felt bad and told his uncle what happened to him.Uncle Hal knew Danny wanted to take part in the audition, which he could get the role of Bugsy Malone.But it was a pity that Danny had little confidence.So Uncle Hal gave him the “Personality Potion.” It was said that it could make Danny brave and bring out his hidden talents.A few days later, Danny stood up to Wick because of the potion.It seemed as if it was incredible.But when it was his turn to read the line, unfortunately, the “Personality Potion” was smashed in pieces and Danny lost heart again, and he felt more nervous.At that time, his gaze shifted to Laura Mills, one of his clamates.She encouraged him to do it.In the end, he succeeded.He also immediately knew that the “Potion” wasn’t the true potion.And he should have been brave without the “Personality Potion”.

In our life, is there anyone like Danny? Are you nervous before having a speech or answering a question? But now, I know that everything will be all right if we dare to say a word!

Sometimes, it is normal for us to be nervous or timid before a big scene.It is too difficult for students to answer the teacher’s questions in school, the same as to do a report on an important occasion.Like Danny, we all are deficient in confidence.

Do we need something called “Personality Potion?” Is it really useful? I don’t think so.The most important thing is to trust myself.Many people are afraid to say a word because they think they are wrong.Some others don’t want to publish their opinion though they are really clever.They need more confidence and encouragement.No one will laugh at you if you say something wrong because he who dares to speak, will succeed.
