Unit 8 What’s the best movie theater?

Section B (2a-2b) 创新整合点

本堂课开头借用了《开门大吉》节目形式导入课题,形式新颖,易引起学生的学习兴趣与好奇心;然后,借用一个自编的数字故事让学生熟悉本文中的新单词和新短语,并给出一个主人公Kate;整堂课中,多次加入视频,减少课题的枯燥感。

教材分析

本文是本单元的阅读训练模块,以talent为主线,通过学生非常感兴趣的“达人秀”话题展开以阅读为主的学习活动。阅读过程中设计了判断正误、回答问题、原文填空等任务链活动,帮助学生运用、巩固所学知识。课前通过“寻找班级达人”活动引出达人这个话题。文章简要介绍了达人秀的起源、基本特点、受人喜欢的原因以及它引起人们争议的方面。但文章最后,作者表达了自己对达人秀这类节目的观点,认为它们为人们提供了一条实现梦想的道路,同时在讲解过程要注意引导学生辩证的看待事物。

学情分析

本班学生都是适龄的学生且有一定的认识能力,对学习英语较为热情,能够进行简单的日常交际会话,本班学生在学习新课之前会有预习的习惯,对新课的知识稍作了解。但是,由学生的英语水平不同,有少部分学生的词汇积累贫乏,阅读能力较差,导致对英语学习缺乏兴趣。

教学过程

Step 2 Lead in(情景导入) Play a game named Superstar DingDong Tell the names of the singers according to the songs.Using this game to lead in the Talent Shows Step 3 Preparation for the paage(数字故事) Using a story named A Story about Kate to lead in the new words and phrases of this paage.Everybody is good at something, but some people are truly talented.Kate is one

of the talented people.She sings really beautifully and her dream is to be a great singer.But she doesn’t know how to make her dream come true.One day, she got an idea.There are so many talent shows today, such as American Idol, America’s Got Talent, China’s Got Talent and so on.All kinds of people can join these shows because all these shows have one thing in common: They try to look for the most talented people.But the audience plays a role in deciding the winner.So she must know them better.She thought harder and harder, then she decided to make up a story about himself.Several days later, she gave up the thought because she wanted to take her dream seriously.Three months later, Kate became a wonderful singer through a talent show.Today , Kate will tell us something about talent shows.Step 4 Scanning Scan the paage and match the main idea with each Para. 本堂课运用了多媒体教学,插入了较多的图片和视频,且课堂环节紧凑,大大提高了学生学习的积极性和主动性,令学生在轻松愉快的环境中学习,学生在课堂上积极思考,大胆发言;我还采用了小组合作探究的形式,让学生在小组内将预习结果结合在一起进行讨论,生帮生,这样既锻炼了学生的自学能力,也减轻了教师的课堂教学负担,真正做到把课堂还给学生。

通过学习,学生既对“达人秀”节目有了更多的了解,也提高了阅读能力。但是在教学过程中还有小部分学生对重点单词、短语掌握得不够好,今后还需要多尝试新方法,让每一个学生在快乐中学习,在学习中都得到提高
