Today I will bring you to the Lijiang Dayan Town.Maybe you are more familiar with the name” the ancient town of Lijiang”.We will get there in a few minutes.So now I will give you a brief introduction of Lijiang.It is located in Lijiang Prefecture in the Northwest of Yunnan province.The population of Lijiang Prefecture is over 1 million involving 21 nationalities, for example, the Naxi, Yi, Lisu, Pumi, etc.And later you will see the houses of Naxi people in the ancient town.
Lijiang Prefecture is the major developing tourist area of Yunnan Province.It contains beautiful natural scenes, unique minority amorous feelings, age-old minority cultures, and rich tourist resources.The scenic spots are mainly scattered in Lijiang County and Ninglang County.We can conclude them into:” two mountains, one town, one lake, one river, one culture and one folk custom.”.Two mountains refer to Yulong Snow Mountains and Laojun Mountains, one town is Dayan Town, one lake refers to Lugu lake, one river is 金沙 river, one culture is Dongba Culture and one folk custom refers to the Mosuo people’s custom, which we call the “Aixa”.What does that mean? I will leave it to you to discover.So you see Lijiang, with its rich resources in plants and animals, the natural beauties and the amazing minority folk customs, attracts more and more tourists from home and abroad.Soon we will get the the Ancient town of Lijiang, it has a history of almost a thousand years.The scenes are unique and unconventional.It is one of the best-historical, cultural cities at the state level in China.It consists of three parts: Dayan、Baisha、Shuhe.So why is it called Dayan? Because it is in the middle of Lijiang basin, and the Lijiang basin looks like a big inkstone, and in Chinese the pronunciation of that is “yan”.
Ok, everyone, this is the entrance of the Dayan town.Maybe you have already notice the couple of the mill wheels over there.Besides it is the Chinese Characters written by Jiang Zeming.And there is a eye-catching pillar, we call it the “水龙”, which means the water dragon and indicates the wish to avoid the fire in the town.Let’s get inside and see.The Dayan town is famous in China for its old and simple architectural style and the elegant art for the lay-out of the town.In the town the Jade Spring river winds in many streams acro the town and past all the houses.The roads here are parallel to the streams, and the door of each house is facing a stream.Whatever street and whatever lane you go in ,there is a small stream with small bridges acro it here and there.As a saying has it : A house beside a stream with a small bridge acro it makes a wonderful scene which you can only find here.” That’s why we regard Dayan town to be the “Oriental Venice”.
Here we are.In the center of the ancient town, here is the Sifang Street.It is a place for country fair trades.Since ancient times, Sifang Street has been a collecting and distributing center of all
kinds of products with travelers and traders going and coming everywhere.On a market day people of different minorities in their unique costumes come here to do busine and make the place crowed and noisy.If you spend a whole day here, you can experience the poetic changes here.In the morning, the street stretch its arms and woke up; in the midday, it becomes a busy man; When the night comes, the light is on, it changes into a dreed young lady; And at night it becomes quiet and fell asleep.
Why the street has a name of “Sifang”? There are two kinds of explanation, one is that the ancient leader in Lijiang named it with a meaning of “spread his power around”, and the other is that “Sifang” in Chinese means four directions, and the street has people and goods from every area.
Dayan Town is quite different from the other ancient towns in China, no town walls around it.Do you know why? That has something to do with the name of the governor of the town at the ancient time, before I tell you the reason, let’s visit the governor’s place first, later you will know why there is no wall here.
Lugu Lake
Welcome to Lugu Lake .In the sublime Xiaoliangshan Mountains of Yongning District of the Ninglang Yi Autonomous County is inlaid a shimmering pearl - Lugu Lake.It is the native place of \"The Females\' Kingdom\" composed of the Mosuo people, a branch of the Naxi nationality.\"Lugu\" means \"falling into the water\" in the Mosuo language (\"hu\" means lake in Chinese.) Hence the name of the lake.
Luguhu Lake is located between Yunnan\'s Ninglang County and Sichuan\'s Yanyuan County, with a total area of 77,700 mu, the space within the precincts of Yunnan being 41,400 mu.It is 2,685 m.above sea level, counting from the surface of the water, and is therefore the lake with the highest altitude in the province.Its average depth of water is 40 m., the greatest depth being 90 m.Among Yunnan\'s lakes it stands only second to Fuxianhu Lake in terms of depth of water.The water of the lake is generally clean and green, with different shades of color: now turquoise blue, now sapphire blue, now white-gray, simply beyond one\'s imagination.On the lake are the \"pig-trough boats\" (\"zhucaochuan\") specific to the place.Teeming in the lake are fine-scaled fish, carps and other species.The lake waters flow eastwards to the Yalong River and finally into the surging Jingshajiang River.
Luguhu Lake is surrounded by high and sublime mountains and is snowbound for over 3 months.Since thc lake is rather deep, a definite regulating influence is exerted on the temperature of the lake shores.Therefore the surrounding mountains abound in forest resources which afford an exquisite beauty, much fresh air and charming scenery.At present it is one of the places in China which is least damaged by human efforts and best preserved in its natural features.
The shores of the lake is inhabited by the Mosuo people who have peculiar customs and ways, up to now still retaining remnants of matriarchal society.Men and women are not united by wedlock,
each living at the mother\'s home respectively, yet keeping a casual cohabitation relationship.Thus the place is called \"A Quaint Realm of Matriarchy\".
The male and female youth of the Mosuo people, having fostered mutual love in the long period of productive labor and social activities, begin to reciprocate \"tokens\".The male party, in accordance with his economic conditions, presents the female party with gold or silver ornaments, jade bracelets, beads and silk threads, etc.The \"tokens\" returned by the female party are generally some personal acceories which the other party likes.Given such an affection on both sides, the seniors of the male party would bring some \"loquat meat\", and some tea, sugar or wine to pay a visit to those of the female party.Once agreement is obtained from them, an axia (spouse) relationship is established for the two.However, such relationship can also be fixed without going through the above procedure.After this the two parties continue to live in their own homes.The male \"axia\" labors for his home in the daytime, and goes to the female \"axia\" at night for cohabiting with her in her home.The family of the female \"axia\" looks upon the male as one of its own members.During the rush farming season, the male \"axia\" goes to the home of the other party to help with work.Those who have fixed their \"axia\" relationship call each other \"azhu\", which means \"dear companion\", but never husband or wife.Therefore, it is not appropriate to speak of \"father\", who instead is only referred to as \"maternal uncle\".The female is predominant and is therefore the leader of a family.With the Mosuos godde worship and the remnants of the matriarchal period, the Luguhu Lake area is indeed one of the rare specimens of \"The Female\'s Kingdom\" in the world and a \'living foil of the matriarchal society hard to come by\".

今天我将带领你们一起去游览丽江大研镇，也许你们更加熟悉她另一个名字——丽江古镇。我们到那还需几分钟，所以在此我将对丽江做一个简短的介绍。丽江大研镇位于云南省西北部的丽江县，总人口超过1百万，它拥有如纳西，彝，傈僳和普米等21个民族，不久你们将看到纳西族人民在古城中造的房子。
丽江是云南一个主要的旅游开发区，他拥有美丽的自然风光，独一无二的少数民族风情以及悠久的少数民族文化等丰富的旅游资源。这些旅游资源主要分布在丽江县和宁蒗县。我们经常这么概括他们：两山一城一湖一江一文化和一风情。两山指的是玉龙雪山和老君山，一城指的是大研镇，一湖指的是泸沽湖，一江指的是金沙江，一文化指的是东巴文化，一风情指的是摩梭族人民的民族风情，我们又叫做“axia”这又指的是什么呢？在此我将留一个小小的悬念给大家。正如你们所看到的，丽江拥有丰富的动植物资源，美丽的自然景观和令人向往的少数民族风情，吸引着越来越多的国内外游客到此参观游玩。
很快我们将会来到拥有上千年历史的丽江古镇，这里的景色天下无双。丽江古城是中国国家级历史文化名城之一，它有三部分组成：大研，白沙，束河。那为什么又叫他大研呢？因为他处于丽江盆地中部，而丽江盆地看起来又像一个砚台，类似于汉语发音的“yan”。
好，大家请跟上，现在我们所处的位置是大研镇的入口，也许你们已经注意到那里有一台水车，在他的侧面还有江泽明的题字，这儿有一个耀眼的支柱，我们把他称为“水龙”，他代
表着水龙，象征着远离火灾。
现在呢，我们一起走进去看看。大研镇素来因其古朴的建筑风格和优雅的艺术编排而闻名全国，由多条小溪汇集而成的的玉泉河蜿蜒曲折，穿过古城流经每家每户。这里的道路与小溪平行而且每家每户的大门都面向小溪，无论你走到任何一条街道和小巷，你都能看到一条小溪和一座小桥穿过。有一句话是这样说的：一幢房子立于小桥流水旁，你只能在这看待这样唯美的是我景色。这就是为什么我们把大研镇称作“东方威尼斯”。
我们到了，古城的中心---四方街。这是乡民公平简易的的地方。从古代起，他就是四方商旅集散各种商品的地方。赶集那天，身着五颜六色的各族人民来此交易商品，使这成为热闹繁华的地方。如果你在这待整整一天，你就能感受到诗般的变化，早晨街道开始苏醒，到了中午，就像一个忙碌的商人，当夜幕降临，华灯初上，他就像一个穿着艳丽的女士，到了晚上，他又恢复了安静慢慢沉睡。
为什么叫它为“四方街”呢？有两种说法：一种说法是古时这里的领导希望他能“权镇四方”,l另一说法是“四方”在汉语中代表着有四个方向，意味着来自各地的商旅和货物聚集于此。 大研镇与中国其他地方的古城不一样，因为他四周没有城墙。你们知道为什么吗？这与当时的掌权者有关，在告诉你们原因之前，让我们先去州长的住所看一下，之后你们将知道为什么这没有城墙。
泸沽湖
欢迎来到泸沽湖，在宁蒗彝族自治县永宁地区的小凉山上镶嵌着一颗闪亮的宝石----泸沽湖。它是由纳西族的一个分支摩梭族人组成的“女性王国”聚居的地方。“lugu”在摩梭族语言中表示“掉进水里”（“hu”指中文中的湖）湖也就因此而得名。
泸沽湖位于云南宁蒗县和四川盐源县交界处，总面积77，700亩，在云南境内为41，400亩。海拔2，685米，因此也成为了云南境内海拔最高的湖泊。湖水平均深度约40米，最深度达93米，在云南省的湖泊中，其深度仅次于抚仙湖，居第二位。湖水纯净碧绿，颜色深浅不一：现在是翠蓝色，过一阵又是宝石蓝，再过一会有成灰白色了，他的变化超出人的想象。湖面上是飘荡着当地所特有的“猪艚船”(zhucaochuang)，湖中物种丰富，有各种各样的细鳞鱼，鲤鱼等。湖水向东流入雅砻江，最终注入金沙江。
泸沽湖四面环山，一年中有三个月为积雪所覆盖。因为湖水很深和适宜的湖岸边适宜的温度，泸沽湖四周森林茂密，空气清新，由于人烟稀少，是目前全国范围内遭受人为破坏最轻、自然生态保护的最好的地方之一。
泸沽湖畔居住的摩梭人至今仍保留着母系社会的遗风。在这里男不娶、女不嫁，只建立偶居关系，每个人都分别住在母亲的家里。因此那个地方被称为“典雅的母权王国”
