Shenyang Fuling Mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty: Hi, good morning everyone, welcome to Shenyang Fuling Mausoleum of the Qing Dynasty.I’m your tour guide, Vickey.I wish you guys can have a wonderful time with us and make a lot of friends during this trip. Now in front of us is Fuling Mausoleum. As you see, it is located in the green mountains. It is a great and magnificent historical building complex. The first emperor of the Qing Dynasty, Nurhaci and his Empre Yehenala were buried here.Just because it’s located in the eastern suburbs of Shenyang city, it is also known as Eastern Mausoleum. It covers an area of 194,800 square meters. The entire building was built ingeniously according to the mountain ranges. Now, let us visit this majestic mausoleum.Walking through the dismount steles, we can see the red gate of the main entrance. You know, in China red and golden are representing luck and honorable. And dragon is the symbol of the emperor. So there are plenty of colorful dragons on both sides of the gate wall.Red gate is an imitation wooden structure with three arches. The roof is covered with glazed tiles and ridges. The arches are decorated by oil paint. There are golden gate pins and animal heads on it.The middle gate of arches is called “Gate of Gods”, which is used for the owner of the mausoleum to get in and out.In ancient times, it was only open in worship days.East gate, also called the emperor gate, is a place where only for emperors to sacrifice. While west gate, the Gate of Officers, is a place for officers to sacrifice. There is another tip I wanna tell you, in China, the east and the left are the honorable location. So the emperors usually sat in the east side or in middle. For common people, we treat the guest as the most honorable person, so the guests usually sit in the east.Probably it’s different from some other countries.Alright, my friends, we have 15 minutes stop in here, you guys can go use the restroom or take some photos around here.
