Good afternoon, everyone!

The topic of my speech today is “Being a Good Listener”.

Good listening can always show respect, promote understanding, and improve interpersonal relationship.

Many people suggest that parents should listen more to their children, so they will understand them better, and find it easy to narrow the generation gap; teachers should listen more to their students, then they can meet their needs better, and place themselves in a good relationship with their students; students should listen more to their clamates, thus they will help and learn from each other, and a friendship is likely to be formed.

What I want to stre is that each of us should listen more to others.Show your respect and never stop others till they finish their talk; show you are interested by a supportive silence or a knowing smile; be open-minded to different opinions even though you don’t like them.In a word, good listening can really enable us to get closer to each other.

好的倾听可以表示尊重,增进理解,和改善人际关系。

许多人认为父母应该多听他们的孩子,所以他们会对它们有更好的理解,并且发现它容易缩小代沟,教师应该多听他们的学生,然后他们可以满足他们的需求,并将自己与他们的学生在一个良好的关系,学生应该多听他们的同学,因此他们会帮助和互相学习,可能会形成和友谊。

我想强调的是我们每个人都应该更多的倾听他人。展示你的尊重和从未停止其他人直到他们完成他们的谈话,告诉你感兴趣的一个支持性的沉默或一个会心的微笑,是开放的不同意见,即使你不喜欢他们。总之,良好的倾听可以使我们更接近彼此。
