Charlie was seven years old.His sister, Emily, was two years younger than him.One day, their mother took them to their uncle\'s house to play while she went to the big city to buy some new clothes.

The children played for a while, and then their uncle took Charlie into the kitchen.He gave him a nice cake and a knife, and said to him, \"Now here\'s a knife, Charlie, Cut this cake in half and give one of the pieces to your sister, but do it like a gentleman.\"

\"Like a gentleman?\" Charlie asked.\"How do gentlemen do it?\"

\"They always give the bigger piece to the other people,\" .answered his uncle.Charlie thought about this for a few seconds, and then he took the cake to his sister and said to her, \"Cut this cake in half, Emily.\"

Charlie七岁。他的姐姐，Emily比他小两岁。有一天，由于他们的妈妈要到城市去买些新衣服，所以就把他们带到叔叔的家去玩。

当他们玩了一会儿，他们的叔叔便带Charlie进厨房。叔叔把一块美味的蛋糕以及一把刀给了Charlie，然后对他说：“这里有一把刀，Charlie，你把它切成一半，分给妹妹，要像个绅士。”
