李先健今年40岁，1991年来到中航工业成飞，现在是成飞结构件厂第三工段一名普通的常规铣工技师。他和其他工人一样，早上8时上班，但为了完成任务经常加班加点，直到深夜才能回家。为此他也抱怨过、郁闷过，因为他也是平凡的人，但是，他从未懈怠，从不放弃。
人本身都是平凡的，不平凡的是人所做的事给社会带来的正能量。也正是这些平凡中的正能量，铸就了他不平凡的人格。正如李先健所说：“我没有什么大本事，但是我愿意把能做的事做好，而且我做到了，但我不认为这算什么成功，只能说做好了我自己吧。”
进厂以来，李先健就把自己的理想锁定在铣床之上，在严守质量关的前提下，高产高效。通过不懈的努力，他先后多次被评为公司先进工作者;在2005年成都百万职工“娇子杯”铣工大赛中获第三名;在2007年中航工业技能比赛中获第4名，被授予“技术能手”、“青年岗位能手”称号。
李先健是一名奋战在结构件厂普铣战线上的青年技能人才，他吃苦耐劳，始终坚守着一个信念，那就是对工作脚踏实地、真抓实干;对社会真诚奉献、不计名利;对同事努力团结、富有爱心。孜孜以求，厚积薄发，注定了李先健的优秀和出色。
李先健凭借多年的一线工作经验和反复实践，第一个将数控插铣技术应用到普通铣床铣削加工中，解决了深腔薄壁难加工和长刀具铣削摆动的难题，填补了行业空白，解决了歼10飞机在钛合金系列零件生产加工过程中采用现有的加工方法根本无法达到技术要求的难题，解决了生产急需。目前，此项技术在国内航空零件制造领域处于先进水平，已在公司内部得到了广泛的推广和应用。在歼7系列飞机结构零件加工中，协调难度大，李先健自制工装夹具，解决了部分因设备报废而无法加工的零件，既解决了零件进度问题，还节约了大量的设备投资，效果显著。
2011年5月10日，李先健赴巴基斯坦出差，直到2012年9月中旬才回家。刚到巴基斯坦卡拉奇基地的时候，经常听到枪声，夏天的时侯那里的地表温度更是高达60摄氏度，而且还经常停电，一停就是几个小时。面对相对恶劣的气候条件和很难习惯的饮食，他丝毫没有胆怯和退缩，肩负起了带教和生产的双重任务。由于条件和环境的制约，刚开始工作，他就遇到了诸多困难，其中最大的难点就是生产设备的落后。为了不影响任务进度，他开动脑筋，想尽一切办法，将自己工作中积累的经验和当地条件结合，将用普铣加工深腔薄壁的方法带到了国外，解决了很多技术难题。他充分利用一切可以利用的资源，以求能将自己精采的技艺得以最充分的发挥，传授给巴方最先进的技术。
在巴基斯坦，李先健除了要完成生产任务以外，还要带学员。由于翻译人员数量的有限，交流的过程中存在着很大的困难。为了完成教学任务，他不得不自学英语。沟通中为了能让学员能听懂，他常常边做边说边用手势，就是这样的看似原始的沟通方式让他带的5名学员学到了真正的技术，能够独挡一面，得到了中巴双方的高度好评。
李先健的努力不仅铸就个人的业绩，更铸就了成飞的辉煌。用他的话说，他做好了自己;用大家的话说，他做好了榜样;用民族的话说，他终将被祖国铭记。
