词汇教学案例及反思

案例主题:

新课程标准倡导英语教学的目的是培养学生运用语言进行交际的能力,为用而学。在设计本节课时的课堂学习任务时,把重点放在了创设情境、提高学生的口语表达上,让学生愿听,愿说、多说,善说。

案例背景:

1、[教材分析]以Eat, have fun and learn in Watertown!为题目,呈现一出“Watertown”,一个可供全家人游玩的好玩而且有趣的去处的文章。这是一篇篇幅不长的阅读文章。除了掌握相应词汇、理解该文大意,学生还要学习一种新的写作文体,——学写导游词。

2、[教学内容]Learn the new words in the article “Eat, have fun and learn in Watertown!”

3、[教学目标]

1、能够识别、会读本节课新授单词slide, water slide ,clown, staff, organized, dre up, market。

2、掌握以下词汇的基本含义及其在语境中的应用:slide, water slide ,clown, staff, organized, dre up, market.3、会用organized和dre up造句。

[教学重难点]

1、理解organized的涵义

2、掌握dre up的用法并会用其造句。

4、[教具准备]The multimedia projector.

5、[教学方法]

1、通过多媒体图片展示来学习新单词。

2、利用Brainstorming来强化新单词的学习。

案例描述:

[教学过程]

Step 1 Warming up: Play the English song “The more we get together”.The teacher asks the students “What do you usually do to relax in your spare time? Here is a good place named Watertown for you and your family to spend a happy

weekend .Do you want to go there? ”【由此导入Step2 词汇学习】

Step 2词汇呈现T:Watertown is a good place to have fun.Now let’s look at the picture.This is the slide(point to the picture).The water slide (show the picture on the screen) is a good place for children.

Ss :水滑道

T: Yes! (write the word slide, water slide on the blackboard, and pronounce the words clearly, get Ss to repeat.))

T: This is the Clown City Café, the staff (show the pictures) are very funny.Do you know staff(point to the picture)?

Ss :工作人员!

T: Yes! Very good! (write staff on the blackboard, read the word and get the Ss to repeat.)

T: Look! The staff are dreing up now.(Do you know dre up? Yes, it means 化妆)They often dre up as clowns.In the Clown City, there are also organized games.(show the games) Can you gue what the word organized mean? (Yes, it means 有组织的.Show the word on the screen.Write the words on the blackboard.Read the words and get the Ss to repeat.)

T: Look! Cla! This is the Farmers’ Market.Here people can buy delicious food.Can you gue its meaning?

Ss: Market is 集市 in Chinese.

T: That’s right.Write the word on the blackboard.Read the words and get the Ss to repeat.)

Students use their imagination and expre themselves freely.

【教师一边用英语讲解,一边用多媒体课件出示相关图片。学生们因为早就对water 很熟悉,加之现在的大部分学生们都去过一些游乐园,见到过水滑道

water slide、小丑clown等。教师要充分利用学生们相应的心理和想象空间,调动起来学生们的学习兴趣。让他们很快就认识这几个单词。另外在投影展示这些新单词时,教师要点读单词或教学生跟读都能起到很好的效果。】

Step 3: Play the tape, ask the students to listen and repeat.

Step 4 : Read all the new words again.Encourage some Ss to write a small paage with the new words.Get several volunteers to read their paages in cla.Give Ss negative comments.

Step 5 Now open your books ,let’s read the article:Eat, have fun and learn in Watertown! Pay attention the use of the new words。

案例反思:

通过平日教学实际中笔者研究学初中英语词汇教学的方法与技巧,深刻的感到英语词汇教学的重要性和词汇教学方法的灵活性。初中学生英语口语表达能力、书面表达能力、语言的综合运用能力与词汇量的大小有着紧密的联系,掌握词汇多的学生,运用英语的能力就越强。相反,英语词汇量小的学生,英语交际能力就无从谈起,更谈不上掌握英语。在词汇教学中,一些教师还在教

学单词时常常采用单一的教学方法,让学生看着单词表,以教师讲解领读单词,学生背单词为主,并且要求学生背下学到的全部的单词。这种单

一、被动的教与学通常使学生感到枯燥无味,也加重了学生的负担,使学生厌学,造成恶性循环。还有些教师们在平时讲解单词的拼写、音标、词性和搭配等,但对于单词的文化背景却很少提到,觉得多讲这些浪费上课的时间。

其实,新课改背景下的教师们应该严格按照《英语新课标》的要求,对于重点词汇,在引导学生掌握发音和词义的同时,还应注意认识其用法甚至是转义、比喻义和常用的搭配甚至是反义词、近义词;把新单词放在一个创设的情境中呈现出来。要用交际的理念、创新的方式去组织词汇教学。教授新单词时多讲解一些文化习俗的知识,创设情境,来开阔学生的视野,教学中注意选用学生感兴趣的素材、联系学生的生活实际让学生在轻松氛围中学习词汇、练习词汇,掌握词汇尽量。让学生在课堂上都动起来,参与到词汇学习的活动中来,让学生在情境活动中掌握单词的用法,真正体现出《英语新课程理念》所倡导的让学生在用中学,变得乐学。
