《新视野大学英语》教学大纲

一、课程基本信息 课程代码:bdyy1-4 课程性质:公共基础课

学 分 数:248学时

学 时 数:16学分

适用专业:艺术类、蒙授类专业本科生

二、课程地位和任务

新视野大学英语课程是面向全校艺术类、蒙授专业

一、二年级本科学生开设的一门公共必修课程。大学英语是以外语教学理论为指导,以英语语言知识与应用技能、跨文化交际和学习策略为主要内容,采用基于计算机和课堂的教学模式,旨在培养学生的英语综合应用能力,自主学习能力、提高综合文化素养和跨文化交际能力,服务于学校应用型人才培养目标,满足学生个性发展需求以及专业需求,使学生在今后工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行交际,适应经济社会发展需求和国际交流需要。

三、课程教学目的和要求

(一)知识目标

1 根据学校艺术类、蒙授类专业的人才培养目标,按照分类指导、因材施教的原则,大学英语教学过程中,应安排相应的个性化的学习内容和学习策略,以适应个性化教学的实际需要。所以对这类专业的学生只做一般要求。一般要求是我校非英语专业本科毕业生应达到的基本要求。 一般要求:

1)听力理解能力:能听懂英语授课,能听懂日常英语谈话和一般性题材的讲座,能听懂语速较慢(每分钟130-150词)的英语广播和电视节目,能掌握其中心大意,抓住要点。能运用基本的听力技巧。

2)口语表达能力:能在学习过程中用英语交流,并能就某一主题进行讨论,能就日常话题用英语进行交谈,能经准备后就所熟悉的话题作简短发言,表达比较清楚,语音、语调基本正确。能在交谈中使用基本的会话策略。

3)阅读理解能力:能基本读懂一般性题材的英文文章,阅读速度达到每分钟70词。在快速阅读篇幅较长、难度略低的材料时,阅读速度达到每分钟100词。能就阅读材料进行略读和寻读。能借助词典阅读本专业的英语教材和题材熟悉的英文报刊文章,掌握中心大意,理解主要事实和有关细节。能读懂工作、生活中常见的应用文体的材料。能在阅读中使用有效的阅读方法。

2 4)书面表达能力:能完成一般性写作任务,能描述个人经历、观感、情感和发生的事件等,能写常见的应用文,能在半小时内就一般性话题或提纲写出不少于120词的短文,内容基本完整,中心思想明确,用词恰当,语意连贯。能掌握基本的写作技能。

5)翻译能力:能借助词典对题材熟悉的文章进行英汉互译,英汉译速为每小时约300个英语单词,汉英译速为每小时约250个汉字。译文基本准确,无重大的理解和语言表达错误。

6) 推荐词汇量:掌握的词汇量应达到约4795个单词和700个词组(含中学应掌握的词汇),其中约2000个单词为积极词汇,即要求学生能够在认知的基础上在口头和书面表达两个方面熟练运用的词汇。

(二)能力目标

在对学生听、说、读、写、译五种能力的培养中,要特别重视听、说能力的培养和训练,鼓励更多的学生选修外教英语口语课程,提高语言运用的熟练程度;培养学生能以英语语言为工具,获取所从事工作专业信息的能力。通过本课程的学习,既能帮助学生打下扎实的语言基础,又能培养他们较强的实际应用能力尤其是听说能力;既保证了学生在整个大学期间的英语语言水平稳步提高,又有利于学生个性化的学习,以满足他们各自不同专业的发展需要。

(三)素质目标

大学英语课程不仅是一门语言基础课程,也是拓宽知识、了解世界文化的素质教育课程,兼具工具性和人文性。学生通过本课程的学习,把英语作为交流信息的工具,可以了解、借鉴、获取英语最新科技成果和吸收英语国家文化的精华,不断拓宽视野,扩大知识面,提高文化素养,为更进一步学习英语及从事对外交流打下扎实的知识文化基础。

六、课程考核方式及成绩评定 考核方式为期末闭卷考试

期末总评成绩 = 期末笔试成绩(70%)+平时成绩(30%)平时成绩 = 课堂出勤(20%)+ 上课表现(30%)+ 作业(20%)+平时测试(30%)

七、其他说明

本课程主要采用精读与泛读相结合、讲解与练习相结合、精听与泛听相结合、讲解与讨论相结合、传统教学和多媒体教学相结合的教学方式。讲授内容尽可能运用课件,采用多媒体教学手段。实践部分主要是积极开展各种有特色的课外活动。
