Look at the pictures and ask : Where is the young man? Why does he look uncomfortable? What do you think he should do? (四) New Content listen and speak :Task 1 step1

Ask the Ss to read the sentences in the pictures and write some the three questions.Step2

Listen for the second time .They are going to hear them again in the conversation.Step3

Ask the Ss to find out where they are and then the places talked about and make a circle around them on the map.Step 4

Ask Ss to do exercise 2.based on the model given.

Listen and speak: Task 2 Step 1

Ask Ss whether they have invited guests to their home.If yes,ask them what they do to entertain their guests.Students discu how they entertain their guests.The teacher may guide them to do the following things.1.choose a secretary to write down what each one says.2.collect the things they mentoin 3.put the things in the order of time 4.one of the members reports to the cla Step 2

Ask the Ss listen to the first part of the dialogue carefully Step 3

Listen to the tape and try to answer the following questions.Play the tape twice and check answers Step 4

Listen to the tape for the two or three time and fill in the blanks Step 5

Ask Ss to work in pairs and do the task that follow.Check answers together.Step 6 Consolidation Ask several groups to practice for the cla.

（三）New content step 1 Ask students to listen to the teacher while he /she reads the words in the box.Encourage studesnts to point out words they know.They can say the Chinese equivalents.Then teach the words they don’t know.But take care not to use too much time on teaching the new words.step 2

Tell students briefly what the dialogue is about and them to work in pairs and fill in the blanks.Step 3

Sts read the dialogue and do the reading task Step 4

Sts work in pairs and check answers Step 5

Ask sts to underline useful words for asking and giving advice.
